  3. I'm obviously very happy about this. I have loved these forums for so long. Although I did take a break for a few months, I did come back. I took that break because I was getting overwhelmed with all of the spam bots. I came back from my break very happy. The forums were back to actual OSRS content! Theoatrix had fixed the forums! This all happened yesterday, and I am still very joyful. I will be back to posting regularly. Also, I am a moderator! I can help with the forums. Thank you everyone! WE ARE THEOATRIX!

  8. Want to try out OSRS? Have some questions? Here's a friendly FAQ about Old School RuneScape tailored for new players: **What is Old School RuneScape (OSRS)?** Old School RuneScape is a version of the popular MMORPG RuneScape as it was in 2007, known for its nostalgic gameplay and community-driven updates. **How do I start playing OSRS?** You can start playing OSRS by creating a free account on the official RuneScape website and downloading the game client. Once you've logged in, you'll enter the world of Gielinor and can begin your adventure. **What should I do first in OSRS?** Begin by completing Tutorial Island, a guided introduction to the game's mechanics and basic skills. Afterward, explore nearby areas like Lumbridge and Varrock to start gathering resources and completing early quests. **How do I make money in OSRS as a new player?** There are several ways! You can start by collecting items like cowhides, fishing shrimp, or mining ores, then selling them on the Grand Exchange (GE). Completing low-level quests also rewards gold and items. **What are quests, and why should I do them?** Quests are adventures that offer rewards like experience points, unique items, and access to new areas. They provide a structured way to explore the game world and progress your character. **How can I level up my skills?** Skills like Woodcutting, Fishing, and Combat can be trained by performing related actions repeatedly. For example, chop trees to raise Woodcutting or fish to raise Fishing. Each skill has its benefits and uses in the game. **What is the Grand Exchange (GE)?** The Grand Exchange is a marketplace where players buy and sell items with each other. You can use it to purchase equipment, materials for skills, or items needed for quests. **How do I avoid danger in OSRS?** Stay aware of your surroundings, especially in dangerous areas like the Wilderness. Avoid engaging in risky activities alone and be cautious of other players who may attack you (known as PKing). **Where can I find help if I'm stuck?** You can find help on the OSRS Wiki, a community-run resource with guides and information on quests, skills, items, and more. You can also ask for advice from other players in-game or on forums like Reddit. **Is OSRS free to play?** Yes, OSRS has a free-to-play (F2P) version that includes many activities and quests. There's also a members-only (P2P) version with additional content, skills, and quests available through a subscription. These answers should help you get started and navigate your way through the early stages of Old School RuneScape!
  9. One of the most lucrative methods in OSRS involves high-level PvM (Player versus Monster) activities such as killing bosses like Zulrah, Vorkath, and the Chambers of Xeric (Raids). These bosses can drop valuable items like unique weapons, armor pieces, and resources used in high-demand skills such as Herblore and Crafting. Another profitable avenue is flipping items on the Grand Exchange, where players buy items at a lower price and sell them for a higher price to make a profit. Skilling methods like Runecrafting through nature runes or double astral runes, and farming herbs like ranarr or snapdragon can yield steady profits over time. For those with lower skill requirements, killing blue dragons for their bones and hides or crafting nature runes through the Abyss can provide a reliable income stream. Additionally, completing quests that unlock content like the Barrows minigame or the Kingdom Management aspect of the Managing Miscellania questline can generate passive income through unique drops or resource gathering respectively. For quick cash in OSRS, consider activities like killing green dragons in the Wilderness, where their hides and bones can be sold for a decent profit. Another option is charging air orbs, which involves crafting unpowered orbs with air runes at Edgeville Dungeon and then charging them at the Air Obelisk. This method combines crafting and magic skills to generate quick returns. Additionally, collecting wine of zamorak at the Chaos Temple in the Wilderness can be profitable, though it's risky due to player killers. Another quick method involves completing daily tasks like collecting battlestaves from Zaff in Varrock or buying feathers from shops and reselling them for a profit on the Grand Exchange. These methods provide quick influxes of gold without extensive time investment or high skill requirements. New players can start by collecting cowhides in Lumbridge and selling them on the Grand Exchange. This method requires only a bit of combat to kill cows, and cowhides can fetch a decent price. Fishing raw shrimps or anchovies in Draynor Village and selling them can also be profitable for beginners. Another method is collecting iron ore in places like the Al Kharid mine and selling it on the Grand Exchange, as iron ore is always in demand for smithing. Additionally, cutting oak logs near Varrock and selling them can provide a steady income for new players. Completing low-level quests that reward items like gold coins or low-level equipment can also be a quick way to earn some initial gold. These methods require minimal skill levels and equipment, making them ideal for players just starting out in the game.
