To complete the "Recipe for Disaster" quest in Old School RuneScape, you need to have completed several prerequisite subquests: "Cook's Assistant," "Fishing Contest," "Goblin Diplomacy," "Big Chompy Bird Hunting," "Murder Mystery," "Nature Spirit," "Priest in Peril," "Animal Magnetism," "Shadow of the Storm," "Demon Slayer," "The Golem," "Shield of Arrav," "Lost City," "Merlin's Crystal," "Dragon Slayer I," "Heroes' Quest," and "Shilo Village." Additionally, you need to have the following skill levels: 70 Cooking, 48 Agility, 50 Mining, 53 Fishing, 53 Thieving, and 25 Farming. Recommended items include combat gear, food, potions, teleportation runes, and items specific to each subquest.

Start by speaking to the Cook in Lumbridge Castle. He will inform you that the feast for the Duke's birthday is in jeopardy due to missing ingredients and various culinary crises. Your task is to travel across Gielinor, completing subquests for various NPCs to gather the ingredients and solve their problems.

Each subquest involves helping a different character with a unique challenge related to their culinary needs. For example, in "Freeing the Goblin Generals," you must assist the goblins by making them a new type of stew. This requires you to gather specific ingredients and cook them in a special way.

Another subquest, "Freeing the Mountain Dwarf," involves helping the dwarves reclaim their secret recipe for the Dwarven Rock Cake. You'll need to navigate through the maze-like tunnels of the Dwarven Mines and solve puzzles to retrieve the recipe.

Each subquest has its own set of challenges and rewards. Some involve combat, while others require skill challenges like agility courses or puzzles. Throughout your journey, you'll uncover the sinister plot behind the culinary chaos and work to foil the plans of the Culinaromancer.

Once you have completed all the subquests and gathered the necessary ingredients, return to Lumbridge Castle and speak to the Cook. He will prepare the feast for the Duke's birthday, and you'll receive your rewards for completing the "Recipe for Disaster" quest.

Your rewards for completing "Recipe for Disaster" include 10 Quest Points, access to the Culinaromancer's Chest for additional rewards, and the ability to wear the Barrows gloves, which are considered best-in-slot gloves for melee combat in the game. Additionally, you'll gain the satisfaction of restoring order to the culinary world of Gielinor and ensuring the success of the Duke's birthday feast.
