Starting out in Farming, it’s important to get acquainted with the basics of planting, growing, and harvesting crops. Begin by planting potatoes at the allotment patches in Lumbridge, Falador, Catherby, and Ardougne. This will carry you from level 1 to around level 15 quickly and provides a steady stream of experience.

From levels 15 to 30, you should transition to planting more valuable crops like tomatoes, sweetcorn, and strawberries. Using super compost at this stage increases your yield and experience gains significantly. Also, consider planting oak trees in the tree patches available in Lumbridge, Varrock, Falador, Taverley, and Gnome Stronghold. Tree farming is crucial as it offers substantial experience per harvest and requires minimal daily effort. Reaching level 85 allows you to plant magic trees, which provide some of the highest experience per harvest. Continue to plant the highest level herbs you can, as they are both profitable and provide consistent experience. Planting spirit trees, though they require high-level seeds, can also provide excellent experience and convenience for teleportation.

From level 91 onwards, plant redwood trees, which offer the highest experience for tree farming. These trees take a long time to grow but are highly efficient in terms of experience per harvest. Continue to do regular tree runs, incorporating all available patches. Use the best compost available to ensure maximum yields and minimal disease risk.
